The Skills and Development Committee of the Argentina Rugby Union confirmed the match schedule for the next edition of Seven of the Republic 2010 to be held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 December at the Student Club Parana.
the XXVII edition of the event will feature of 32 teams belonging to the 25 Provincial Unions, together with the nominees of Uruguay, Chile and Brazil, and four sets of Level of Development. Over last year. In addition, this season, joins Santa Cruz Rugby Union.
Development teams will, in this first edition of the unions, who have more players at this level, serving as an incentive. It is noteworthy that in future issues should be developed to determine the four tournament participants, with condition that players must belong to clubs at this level.
other hand, it is good to note that this year will include two women's rugby teams, who will use the seven as a concentration in order to play South American Championship small.
Last season, the selected Rosario became champions of the Gold Cup Sevens after defeating the Republic Tucumán, by 18 to 5. For its part, Buenos Aires won the Silver Cup by beating Cordoba in the final by 26 to 7, while in the Bronze Cup was won by East, which beat Santa Fe for 24 to 12 in the final. Format
game begins with a key to leveling. The inclusion of the four development teams puts the turning point in a lower level, ie, with 28 teams, the team plays 14 to 15, while in this format on 14 plays with 19 and the turning point is 16 vs. 17.
